PyCascades is organized by members of the Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland Python communities. Our goal is to host a diverse, accessible, and memorable conference.

CTSO at Women Who Drone and Chief Architect & Head of Engineering at Narratic Labs. I code, fly a drone, and volunteer with PyLadies. Currently learning as a hobby on how-to repair cars and acoustic guitars.
Ben is an SRE based in Seattle. He currently works on a private Platform-as-a-Service, and has previously worked in SRE and DevOps roles at the Allen Institute for Cell Science, Blue Nile, and Intermedia. When he’s not working, Ben is out playing ice hockey, hiking, camping, and fiddling around with photography.
Holly is a software developer in Vancouver. She mostly works in Python and Ruby on web development with a soft spot for database performance. Outside of tech, she enjoys knitting, reading speculative fiction, and cycling to places to look for birds.
Greg is a Salt Lake City-based Python enthusiast with a background in computer networking and security. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, and attending as many concerts as possible.
Caito is a Developer Advocate in Portland, OR. Working with this event is the perfect ven diagram for them of inclusive community building, programming, and the irresistible, inspirational Python flavored makerspace that PyCascades attracts. In their "free time", they do dance and duo trapeze, trail running, and never-ending construction/remodeling projects, sometimes with a dash of sculpture, prop-building and woodworking. They also love Python so much, they have three of them 🐍
Andres is a tech enthusiast with a background in building UX for Mobile and Web Applications. He is passionate about OSS, A11y, and community collaboration.
Ben is a Portland-based software developer focused on Quality Engineering. When not behind the computer writing code or trying to write speculative fiction, you can find him on his bike, at a food cart, or trying out the weirdest possible tabletop RPGs with his friends.
Chethana is a Software Engineer at realtor.com and a Senior Lead at WWCode Python. She has a Masters in Computer Science from SUNY Binghamton and now resides in California. She enjoys learning, solving problems, and spends her free time experimenting with new cuisines and flavors in her kitchen and exploring beautiful scenic places
John is a software engineer working in Vancouver, Canada. He primarily works on backend services in Python these days, but started his career in embedded firmware, with forays into developer tooling, operating systems, and game dev.
Outside of his work, John likes hiking and playing video games and board games with friends and family.
